..Do recipients need to download an app?

Not an app, but a stand alone HTML file universally compatible needing only a browser. You download via link in email. Save to your device and depending on the device add to home screen. The calculator opens instantly in any web browser. Recipients can optionally add it to their home screen in one tap for a native app experience — but it is never required, Exact method may vary between Android, iPhone and Desktop.

Is this actually branded to my business?

Yes — completely. Every calculator is branded BY YOU to your specification: your logo, your color palette, your contact information. This is not a white-label template with your name in a corner. The initial brand footer is permanent. If you add an Agent they can rebrand their header but your footer remains intact.
